Dear Timothy Project Family,
Imagine a world where truth is negotiable, where it bends to personal preference and is shaped by the loudest voices in the room. Imagine a culture where feelings dictate reality, and facts are determined by convenience rather than conviction.
Now, stop imagining — because that is the world we live in today.
But here’s the good news: Truth is not fragile. Truth is not subject to popular vote. Truth is not ours to redefine — it is ours to discover, defend, and declare.
That is why, at The Timothy Project, we are setting our sights on one of the most critical and urgent themes of our time: TRUTH.
OUR MANDATE FOR THE YEAR
Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians 13:8 will serve as our anchor:
“For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.”
This is both a declaration and a challenge. It reminds us that truth is unshakable. we may resist it, ignore it, even suppress it for a time, but we can never undo it. And it challenges us to be people who do not just acknowledge truth but stand for it, live by it, and proclaim it.
ADDRESSING THE HARD QUESTIONS
This year, we will engage with truth in every sphere: from doctrine to social issues, from personal convictions to cultural debates. The world offers a thousand competing narratives, but our commitment is to centre everything on God’s Word.
We will wrestle with thorny subjects; not to stir controversy, but to seek clarity. Because truth is not just an idea to be debated; it is a person to be followed (John 14:6).
- What does it mean to stand for biblical truth in an age of compromise?
- How do we engage culture without conforming to it?
- What does Scripture say about justice, morality, identity, and purpose?
- How do we discern truth in a time of deception?
These are not just academic questions — they are the battleground of our faith.
Truth is not just a theme; It’s a calling
Throughout history, men and women who dared to stand for truth have been misunderstood, ridiculed, and persecuted. But in every generation, God raises up a remnant who refuse to bow to the idols of falsehood and compromise.
That remnant must be us.
So, as we embark on this journey, I leave you with one question:
Will you stand for truth, even when it costs you?
Let this be the year we take our place as voices for truth, as seekers of wisdom, and as ambassadors of the unshakable, unchanging, eternal Word of God.
The world may waver, but truth remains. And we, The Timothy Project, stand with it.
Let’s build. Let’s contend. Let’s stand. Let’s present men perfect in truth.
To Truth,
Bethmound Mensah
